Face masks (Quietly Being Alright)
Made by Sharon in our studio, our penny printed cotton face masks have elastic straps to hook over the ears, an opening on the reverse side of the mask to insert an optional, breathable filter interlining plus an encased wire across the top of the mask, which can be shaped to fit comfortably across the bridge of the nose.
NB: They’re obviously not medical grade and won’t stop you catching the virus, but if you cough or sneeze, the droplets are caught in the mask. They will need a daily wash too, after being worn. Hygiene is paramount.
All profits from the sale of these face masks is going to the Isabel Hospice in Hertfordshire.
Sharon's mum, Georgie, was cared for by the Isabel Hospice after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. At this time when charity shops are closed and fund-raising events are cancelled, hospices need our help more than ever. As an example, £250 could pay for eight hours of nursing care for someone at the Isabel Hospice In-Patient Unit. Georgie was cared for at this In-Patient Unit and we know just how important the care given is, to the patients and their family. 💗
